You've trusted me to lead our city. I'm humbled, I'm grateful — and I'm ready to get to work.
Thank you. Whether or not you voted for me, I want you to know one thing: I will be a mayor for every resident of White Rock.
To everyone who voted — thank you for showing up. Our city is at its best when we all take part, and you did.
To the volunteers who knocked on doors, made calls, and gave up their evenings and weekends: none of this happens without you. I'm grateful to every one of you.
To my partner, Rob — thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and for believing in this from the very first day.
And to every candidate who put their name forward: thank you. Stepping up to serve takes courage, and our community is stronger because you did.
The election is behind us. Now the real work begins — and I can't wait to get started.

That's the City Hall I want us to build together — steady, collaborative, and focused on the people we serve. Thank you, as well, to the outgoing Council for your service to our community.
These are the priorities I brought to you, and they're where my focus will be from day one.
Chris Shields has called White Rock home for more than sixteen years, and like a lot of us, he believes in this city's future as much as its past.
For 10 years, Chris has been a trusted leader — most recently as Chair of the British Columbia Real Estate Association, where he represented over 26,000 REALTORS® across British Columbia and led a major plan to modernize how the organization works. He's chaired finance and HR committees, managed through tough budgets, and built a career out of getting boards, governments, and communities to agree and move forward.
Now he brings that experience to City Hall: managing your money responsibly, moving housing forward, and bringing Council together to deliver results instead of headlines.
Above all, White Rock is home — where Chris and his partner, Rob, have built their life.
